The native Excel workflow translates text stored in worksheet cells, including ordinary labels and formatted text. It writes those translations back into the workbook instead of replacing the sheets with pictures or a flat text document.
Formula expressions and numeric cells are left in place, along with worksheet structure and cell formatting. Numeric dates remain spreadsheet values with their existing number formats; this is not a currency, unit or date-convention conversion tool.
Use this for product descriptions, survey responses, project trackers and other workbooks where text needs a new language and calculations need to remain in the spreadsheet. Review text that formulas depend on, because changing a label can affect a formula that compares that label with an exact string.
A translated label can need more room than the original. Existing wrapping and merged cells are retained, and some translated cells may use shrink-to-fit. Open dense sheets at a readable zoom and adjust column widths or row heights where needed.
This translates cell text, not every object Excel can contain. Sheet tab names, chart objects, comments and text inside formula expressions are not comprehensively translated. Review these separately, along with external links and calculations that rely on exact text matches.
Codes, identifiers and numbers stored as text can be mixed into the same cells as ordinary words. Check those cells against the original before importing a translated workbook into another system.
An XLSX file carries multiple sheets, formulas, styles and other workbook structure. A CSV is a plain-text table and does not contain that formatting. Uploading a CSV cannot restore workbook features that were lost when it was exported.
The uploader also accepts XLS, ODS, CSV, TSV and Numbers files and converts them to XLSX for the translated-file workflow. Conversion may change unsupported features, formatting or the interpretation of values. Use the original XLSX when available and review a converted workbook carefully.
