Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These terms cover your use of polytranslator.com, the Polytranslator mobile application, and the Polytranslator API (together, the "Service"). They explain how plans, billing, cancellation, credits, and refunds work. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Free Use
- You can use the Service without an account or with a free account, within daily limits. Daily limits and daily free credits reset at midnight UTC; unused daily credits do not carry over.
- Free use is supported by ads. Paid plans are ad-free.
- Some free offers, such as a free first document, are limited to one per person. To prevent abuse we may limit free use, for example per device, per network, or until your email address is verified.
Subscriptions
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, as you choose at checkout. The price and what the plan includes are shown on the pricing page and at checkout before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period and are charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel. There is no minimum term.
- While your subscription stays active, you keep the price you signed up at.
- Payments on the website are processed by Stripe. If you subscribed in the iOS app, Apple handles billing under its own terms.
Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time. On the website, click your email address in the top-right corner and choose "Manage subscription". This opens Stripe's billing page, where you can cancel or change your payment method. You can also email us at support@polytranslator.com and we will cancel it for you.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
- Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are cancelled in your Apple account's subscription settings.
- If you subscribe again while paid time remains, you are not charged until that time runs out.
Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, we show a notice asking you to update your card, and your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. Our payment processor retries the charge. If the payment still does not go through, the subscription ends and your account returns to the free plan.
Credits
Advanced translations and document translations use credits. The number of credits a document needs is shown before you start.
- Plan credits: paid plans include a monthly credit allowance that resets with your billing cycle. Unused plan credits do not roll over. Yearly plans receive the same allowance each month.
- Credit packs: packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Purchased credits do not expire. On the website, plan credits are used before purchased credits.
- Failed and cancelled work: if a translation or document job fails, the credits it used are returned automatically. If you cancel a document job, the credits for the part that has not started are returned.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.
Single-Document Purchases
Some documents can be bought individually with a one-time payment. If the translation of a document you paid for fails, the payment is refunded in full automatically. Refunds can take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
API
- API requests are paid from purchased credit packs (and any API credits included in your plan). Free daily credits are not used for the API.
- If you turn on automatic refill, we charge your saved card for the pack you chose whenever your purchased balance falls below your threshold, up to the monthly limit you set. You can turn automatic refill off at any time.
Refunds
Apart from the automatic refunds described above, subscription and credit-pack payments are not refunded automatically, and cancelling does not refund the rest of the current period. If something went wrong with a charge or a translation, email us at support@polytranslator.com and we will look at it.
Translations
Translations are produced by machine-translation models and can contain errors, especially for rare, ancient, and low-resource languages. Review translations before relying on them for legal, medical, financial, or other important decisions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Price changes never apply to a billing period you have already paid for.
